Five things I’ve loved in June.

It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was making my May favourites post and here we are in July! Where is this year going? Anyway, this one is a little bit different. If you’ve been in England recently then you’ll know that the weather has been all over the place but that when it’s been hot, it’s been¬†hot. Which means that makeup has been a bit tricky for all of us – we don’t want thick makeup on because it just melts off and feels too much. But then again, if you’re working full time like me you don’t want to look half asleep.

So, this is what I’ve been doing as my daily makeup routine.

  1. Moisturising with Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser.

I don’t know about you guys but whenever I wake up after a night’s sleep, I’m always feeling really clogged up no matter how much I’ve cleaned my face the night before. Whether it’s some residual makeup or just the heat being too much – I feel gross. Which is why this has been helping a lot. It cools you down and makes your face all prepared for makeup.

2. Using a lightweight foundation.

Sometimes I’ve been skipping this step altogether because I haven’t wanted any weight on my face at all but the heat also causes me to break out so who can win? Not I. But a lighter coverage foundation or a BB cream is always good for a natural look.

3. Bronze it up!

My favourite bronzer is the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer at the moment. If you’re pasty like me and struggle to get any colour at all, I recommend you look at my post about the St Tropez self-tanning lotion as it’s a real treat! But obviously, if you do use this then you need to make sure that your face matches, too. Use your same foundation and then heavily use bronzer. I especially like this one because it has a shimmer to it so it acts as a slight highlighter, too.

4. Highlight, highlight, highlight!

My favourite highlighter is the Nyx Illuminator but the one that I’ve been using with this look because it blends better is the highlight from the Rimmel London Sculpting Palette by Kate. It’s one of my favourite palettes ever because the blush is just to die for – such a cute coral colour. I mainly apply highlighter to my nose as I think it brings the whole look together.

5. A nude lipstick.

I’ve been really loving just putting a lipliner on that’s a coral/peach shade and then applying a lipgloss over the top. My favourite lipgloss is Sexy Motherpucker by Soap and Glory. It’s got this amazing gloss to it that makes your lips super plump and look beautiful. It feels a little tingly at first but it looks amazing.

What do you guys do different in your summer routine?

Also, just before I go I want to tell you guys about an amazing affiliate programme site I found called Awin. I read it in someone’s post and I applied and got accepted! I’m just about getting my head around it right now but I highly recommend it if you guys are looking into making a bit of cashola from your blog.

Morgie out.

Haha, no! It feels a little bit weird. It doesn’t give you fish lips but you definitely notice the difference. It tingles hahaha xx
