Hey guys! One of you suggested after my Elsa Inspired Look that I should make this into a series and go through the Disney Princesses (although I might just do Disney females in general!) and honestly, that was the most exciting thing to me. Disney is my favourite thing ever and I love doing inspired makeup looks, too. A lot of the Princesses looks are very similar so these are more inspired looks. But the first, original Princess was the lovely Snow White.
Anyway! Let’s get down to it.
First, make your skin as pale as possible. Even if you’re one of my darker skinned gals out there, if you use a concealer two shades lighter than your skin-tone in places like under your eyes, down the bridge of your nose and your chin then it will give you that slightly-sickly-does-she-ever-go-out-in-the-sun look which is exactly what we are looking for! At the beginning of Snow White, she’s mainly cooped up as a servant in the castle so she wouldn’t see much of the sun. You want to recreate that as best you can. I’m naturally very pale so I used my normal foundation which is the L’Oreal True Match Foundation* in Ivory.
Fill in your brows with pure black eyeshadow. I used the darkest shade in the Makeup Revolution Light & Shade palette which is such a gorgeous black. I actually really liked the way it looked against really pale skin, it makes them so dynamic and really stand out. Make them as thick or as thin as you like – I made mine thick because my brows naturally are. Snow’s are stick thin so if you want to go for a full transformation then cover them using the glue stick and powder method.
I then want to make my eyes look as big and doe-like as possible so I took the contour shade in the Light & Shade palette and blended that into my crease. I also contoured a tiny bit on my cheeks to add to the further slightly sickly look Snow would have if she didn’t belong to Disney. I then took Nyx’s Jumbo Pencil in Milk and ran that over my waterline and a little below to make my eyes look bigger. This is a theme now with these re-creations. I also tight-lined with a kohl liner to give my eyes a bit more oomph.
Snow has crazy big lashes so use whatever mascara gives you a long, volumised look with your lashes. I used my Younique 3D Fibre Lashes mascara which I’ll be reviewing soon – it’s seriously crazy how much of a different it makes to your lashes. You could also add falsies if you’re more talented than me.
I then used the orange-y/peachy blush in the Light & Shade palette because I think it looked more flushed than the pinky blush.
Lips red as the… cranberry? I didn’t have any rose-y coloured lipstick but this one is the perfect shade for Snow White. It’s the cranberry shade by LOC. It’s such a gorgeous shade. But I also dabbed on some of the Milk Jumbo Pencil to give it a slightly more animated look.
