Hey guys! Here I am again with another makeup review – if it’s one thing I love more than lipsticks (or the same? Who knows, I can’t pick!), it’s highlighters. I can’t believe there was once a time in my life when a highlighter wasn’t part of my daily routine. I went to work the other day and I was looking in the mirror and I just couldn’t think what was wrong/different with my face – then it clicked. I didn’t have a highlighter on! I felt so weird because I’ve been wearing them solidly for the past two years. So, when a new one comes out, I’m always excited for it.
I’m doing a series each month on my blog of either buying a high end product and reviewing it or I’m going to buy a selection of new drugstore makeup products and give you guys my review of it. This is the third in it as I reviewed the L’Oreal Infalliable Foundation here. I’ve never actually used any MUA products before so I was a bit hesitant about buying this one. I haven’t even seen that many people talk about it so perhaps I’m totally out of the loop but I literally know nothing about this brand. I’d be interested to try more after this!
But I was so intrigued by this highlighter. It was only £4 which is obviously amazing but there’s so much product in there, it’s crazy value for money. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a loose powder highlighter and my previous experience with loose powder products in general is not good. I’ve used setting powders before but I just find them messy and I don’t really see that they do anything different than pressed powders? So when I opened this one and it was pure white, I was worried it was going to look like I had flour on my face when I looked forward.
But boy, was I proven wrong.
This is one of the prettiest, dynamic highlighters that I’ve ever used in my life. It’s got this gorgeous pink glow that shines in the light and I seriously am in love with it. It kind of reminds me of the holographic highlighters that have been out a lot but it’s so, so pretty. The powder-y ness of it only helped to make it blend in a bit better, I think. I’m still not sold on loose powder products because this could have surely been done with a normal pressed formula. I don’t know. It’s still messy.
You have to use the tiniest amount of product which makes it super long lasting.
So, there you have it! Do you guys like this highlighter? Let me know in the comments below! Also let me know if there are any products you would like me to review in the future as I love doing posts like this.
