Hey guys! Welcome back to another makeup tutorial. I am so excited for this one as it is the next in my Disney series. So far, I have done Elsa, Snow White, and Bambi so click the links if you want to see them but if not then just want and see how I got this look! This one is more of an inspired look because all of the Disney Princesses have quite a standard makeup look so I thought I would do more of an inspired one – mainly by her stunning dress. Yep, it’s Cinderella – and if you follow this tutorial, you too can be the belle of the ball.
Let’s get down to it.
First, I’m just doing my normal flawless base. Here is the post on how I get my most flawless base that I can. Princesses always look super natural and flawless so that’s the aim you want for this look. For those of you that don’t want to read the post or already have, my go-to foundation is the Infalliable Matte Foundation which I reviewed here.
Fill in your brows with a dark brown eyeshadow. I used Hazelnut from this Smashbox set that my sister bought me. I’m going to be doing a full review on this soon so keep your eye out for that. Just fill in your brows in the roundest shape that you can manage. This is what will really recreate that soft, demure look that Cinderella has. She’s literally got upside down frowny faces for eyebrows but I have quite thick brows and I don’t really fancy shaving them off for the sake of a tutorial but! Who knows. If Smashbox gave me a brand deal, I would 😉
This is actually the second time that I’ve attempted this look because I couldn’t get the eyes how I wanted. When I think of Cinderella, I think of the beautiful blue dress that she has and how sparkly and lush it is – I wanted it so bad when I was little. So, I searched for a blue eyeshadow for ages and if you guys are anything like me, it’s so hard to get a decent blue eyeshadow that doesn’t make you look like you’ve just snuck into your mum’s 80s makeup bag and have slathered it all over your face. The shade I used is the Spectral one from the Smashbox set. There was a bit of fallout so I had to lean forward to prevent this. I then took Hazelnut again and ran it under my lids to give it a bit of extra oomph.
What you want to do for mascara because she’s got very specific lashes – even if that sounds weird, she just has some winged out ones at the end of her lashes so I literally ran my mascara over the edges of my lashes and honestly? Thank you Cinderella, this is how I’m going to do my lashes forever now. It looks so pretty and glamourous – I love it!
I wanted this to be more of a blushy look then a bronzey look so I took the blush from the Smashbox set called Amp it Up and ran that over my cheeks. You want it to be a rich colour while still being subtle enough that you don’t look like a clown. I then took my MUA Prism Highlighter which I reviewed here and ran that over my cheekbones, my cupid’s bow and my nose. Glow all the way to your Prince Charming, baby.
Finally, zee lips. I took my favourite Sleek Lip Cream in Birthday Suit and just applied that, emphasising my cupid’s bow. I then applied some of the pink highlighter from the Sophdoesnails palette with Makeup Revolution and wham, bam, you are glam!
So, there you have it! Did you guys like this look? Who would you like me to do next? Let me know in the comments below!
