Hey guys! I’m sorry that I’m so sporadic in my posting; it’s exam season at the moment and I work in exams, I’m not taking any so it’s pretty crazy planning it all. I’m also really busy with freelance work at the moment so while I’m balancing that and my full time job, I’m a bit mad. But I went out the other night for my friend’s hen and I thought I’d share the look I did because I loved it – so I hope you guys will, too!
Let’s get down to it.
First, I did my base routine. I used the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer, followed by the BH Cosmetics Primer stick – which I love so much I’ve almost run out of it – and finally, I thought I would try something a bit different. I used the Fast Base foundation stick from Revolution as an actual fast base as I wanted to have a completely flawless look. By itself, I find that this can be a bit cakey but I thought it would work well as a base.
I then followed it up with the Revlon Photo Ready foundation which I’ll be reviewing soon! It is such a stunning foundation, you can see that from my review but paired with this base routine, it looked absolutely flawless. It also lasted really well. It has a slight shimmer or glitter to it which makes it lovely for the summer evenings.
For my brows, I took Hazelnut from my Smashbox quad set and a Younique angled brush. This brush is seriously the best thing for doing Insta-brows as it has such a fine brush and it can get right in there. It also picks up tonnes of product which makes it really easy to get the colour on there easily. I really emphasised my arch and then I blended it out slightly to get that fade effect.
Taking the same palette from Smashbox, I then took the shimmery nude and ran it over my eyes. I then applied a winged linger using the Eyeko liner. I will be reviewing this soon so keep your eye out for it! I then applied my favourite mascara at the moment which is the Benefit Badgal Bang mascara. I applied this on both my lower lashes and my upper – sidenote, I was really mad because the formula is quite wet and it splashed onto my perfect base 🙁 the saddest.
I then took my Modelco contour stick which I had in a Birchbox ages ago and I went full on. I dotted it across my forehead, ran it down my cheekbones and then I contoured my nose. I love the creamy formula of this as it makes it so easy to blend out and it is so stunning. I then set it because it’s a cream product with the Beauty Pie bronzer which I reviewed here. I then took some blush and applied it on the apples of my cheek. Finish off with a highlighter of your choice – I took the last colour on the top row of the sophdoesnails highlighter palette.
Finally, I used the Zoeva Pure Matte liquid lipstick in Courtesy Call which I will also be reviewing soon to bring the look all together.
There you have it! A full on glam look that will take only twenty minutes and will look absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you all for your continued support!
