Hey guys! How are your weekend’s going? As I’m writing this post, I’m lying in bed curled up with a cup of tea – wild Friday night! But as you’re reading this post, I’m likely running around trying to film my Youtube videos and get my life back on track! The other day when I was looking at my ever growing makeup collection and my ever not-growing room, I started to daydream about the perfect house and all of the things that I would like in it.
Did you guys ever do that when you were younger? I remember drawing out a design of what my dream home would be like and it always had enough rooms in the house for all of my friends and family to live there. But now that I’m older (quite a bit older, anyway!) I’m thinking more about practical things like storage and the aesthetic of the home. So, I thought I would share it with you guys! Let’s get into it!
Y’all saw this coming. I always see these Youtubers that have a room dedicated entirely to their makeup. And to be honest, that is what my bedroom is like at the moment. Whenever I come into my room, I’m tripping over makeup because it’s all over the place! So if I had a room that was dedicated entirely to it and stored all beautifully then that would be absolutely amazing. It would also be great to merge this together to make it perfect for filming with a nice backdrop, aluminium windows that would be perfect for letting in the most natural light for my filming needs and somewhere that I can keep work as work. Although I don’t really see Youtube as work – it’s so much fun to do!
For those of you that have been following me for a while, you’ll know that my love beside makeup is film. I would seriously love to have a room that is an actual cinema – huge screen, booming speakers. And of course, a popcorn machine! I’d love to see my favourite films up there on a projector and have friends over for a proper film evening. I do actually know someone that has a cinema room which is insane to me! But a girl can dream, eh?
Finally, a room purely built for relaxation. I think it’s easy to bring certain stresses into your rooms. Especially your bedroom. I’m well aware of the fact that I spend a lot of time in my bedroom – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! But I try to limit the amount of actual work I do there as I’m certain that my mind starts to think that we’re doing work when I go there to actually get some sleep. So it would be amazing to have somewhere that you could literally just have perhaps one armchair, one thousand cushions all around it, some Yankee candles and a book. Doesn’t that just sound like bliss? It does to me!
So, there you have it! Honestly, this is a bit of a ridiculous ask for a house but we genuinely are praying for more provision for more space within the house so who knows what 2019 will bring! What would you guys have in your dream house? Let me know in the comments!
