I’m Letting Myself Off My Hook

Hey guys. It’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything on here and honestly… there’s a few reasons why. I’ve been really busy with work (both my normal job & freelance) but aside from that, I’ve been doing a lot of soul-searching.

Sounds dramatic, right? Well, it’s true. I’ve been in a really bad state of anxiety recently and I’m trying to pinpoint just what it is. I think I got into a cycle of trying to create content that I thought other people would like instead of stuff I enjoyed. And then when there was something I was proud of that didn’t receive that much attention, I was disappointed. I know that that’s something normal but I just realised that I was focusing too much on the numbers with blogging instead of writing stuff that I was passionate about. I relied too much on ensuring that I got two-three posts out a week instead of focusing on the content that I wanted to create.

My Post-43

So, things are going to change! I’m letting myself off of my hook. I’m not going to follow a formula for myself; I’m going to post what I want when I feel like posting it. Obviously, I still want to know what you guys would like to see and it’s not that that isn’t a factor for me anymore. It’s just that I’m not going to let it control me and get into a bad state again in terms of blogging. I’m still working on the mental health side of things and I really hope that I get there soon.

I hope you guys have been looking after yourselves and I would really, really love to hear about what you’ve been up to these past few months! Let me know in the comments and I can’t wait to write some more on here again.

Love you guys lots.

Morgie out. x
